AL's - Special Edition Slip On Shandals® - Size 6.5

£1,500.00

“I made these Slippers out of the Lloyd family Tartan Tweed supplied by the Swansea company Formal Hire Tartan Ltd - and woven by the Cambrian Woollen Mill - The woollen Rope Soled soles are made from 200ft of Twool. Twool is famed for its durability. Twool is a ‘lustre’ long wool of the Whiteface Dartmoor sheep indigenous to Dartmoor, farmed on Duchy land and one of Britain’s most ancient breeds. It has taken over two years to find and put in place all the relevant skilled British companies to provide their all important expertise to the process of making Twool products. - Alan James Raddon 2015.

These Slip On Shandals® were made by our founder and creator of Shandals® - Alan James Raddon. They are part of Alan’s final collection which he meticulously made in his career spanning over 45 years before he passed away in 2021. If you are lucky enough to own one of Alans highly collectable Shoes you will feel just how special they are.

Our Slip on Shandals® are world renown for their healing benefits in strengthening the toes, ankles, legs and hips, through the alignment of your toes. These Shandals® have been specially designed to be instantly comfortable as soon as you put them on.

The Slip on Shandal® design tends to fit those with normal healthy feet or relatively high arches. If you have a dropped arch the elasticated sides will not feel as 'held' as the other two designs but they are a nice option for an easy to wear pair - they are the design Alan wore the most. If you have collapsed arches you may need the support of the Lace up design as the buckle has less adjustability. Read more about Shandals® here.
